Just Before the Model UN Trip - Random Thoughts

Spring Break was pretty awesome, btw!! The weather in Florida is so nice and balmy. There were too many rednecks there and they kept saying racial things to my friends, but other than that the area was absolutely beautiful. We stayed right on the beach and we swam in the freezing cold ocean! haha! And we went to an outdoor mall-strip that was really nice, where I bought fudge~ and we had awesome barbecue!! Awe.Some.

Last week I suddenly came down with mono. It hit me pretty fast but it wasn't that bad. The doctor gave me steroids and within one day I felt so much better. Now I don't even feel like I have it at all, which is great since I'm going to go to New York in two days! and I have a lot of stuff to get done ON Monday.

This semester has been going very well, I think. My grades are good at least, except maybe in Tap 101 since my attendance sucks. I should have dropped it, but I thought I should stick it out.
It's definitely been nice not having to read tons of material and write 7-page papers for my teachers to tear apart. I like the economics assignments and the straightforward Chinese class schedule I've had, I work much better in these conditions.

I've also been trying to help revive the Roots & Shoots Club, but my co-president sucks. She never responds to my emails. It's pretty frustrating, but I guess I should be patient. I'm going to try to organize a potluck-dinner/movie screening, and hopefully have some kind of presence at World Fest for Earth Day on April 22nd. I think I would be so good at organizing events if other people would just communicate more.....

I have so far been rejected by 2 of the 3 internships I've applied for, and I'm thinking of not even applying for anymore because, frankly, I refuse to work for free. If I stay on campus this summer taking classes, I may be able to score a tutoring position in the NFLP and make around $2000 to spend on the classes I'm taking: Win-win. :)

Also, in May, Hyejeong and Nick and I are hoping to take a trip to Washington D.C. I'm so glad our plan changed from Seattle, cause I was not about to drive 36 hours there and 36 hours back!! Washington, D.C. should be very beautiful. And I can see Rhiannon!!!!

Today, I went to the Farmer's Market in Memphis with Alecia, Jacki, and Evan. It was so relaxing, I really felt like I had no responsibilities at all. We also went to a Korean restaurant, Asiana Gardens, where we split bulgogi, bibimbop, and haemul chi gae!! yummmmyyy!! I ate way too much though....

Anyway, here are some pictures cause I always put up pictures!!
